Description

About us Join us every Tuesday to Sunday at 7 PM for Lisbon Classical Nights at Saint Paul's Church. Experience the mastery of Lisbon's finest classical guitarists as they weave timeless melodies that transcend generations. Our program celebrates classical guitar luminaries and introduces hidden gems from Portuguese composers. But it's more than a concert; it's a dialogue. Immerse yourself in the music and insights shared by our performers, deepening your connection to the art form. Limited to 20 guests To preserve the authenticity and intimacy of each performance, we limit our audience to just 20 guests per show. This ensures that every attendee has a front-row seat to the magic unfolding on stage, fostering a sense of closeness with both the music and the artists. As we invite you to experience the artistry of Lisbon Classical Nights, we promise an evening of musical enchantment in the heart of Lisbon. Join us in celebrating the beauty of classical guitar, the rich heritage of Portuguese compositions, and the enduring allure of Saint Paul's Church. Reserve your seat today and be part of a night to remember. The church The church of Saint Paul, nestled in its picturesque square, stands as a splendid example of Pombaline architecture. Its east-facing façade boasts Pombaline features, including rectangular windows and two bell towers flanking a central body adorned with a triangular pediment. The parish's history, dating back to the Discoveries, is evident in the influx of population, notably foreign merchants. Despite the devastation of the 1755 earthquake, the area quickly rebuilt, supported by its commercial significance and the influence of the Marquis de Pombal. The square served as a bustling market and, in 1849, welcomed a magnificent limestone fountain, a testament to the neighborhood's resilience and evolution.
