We stopped by Alpendre Restaurante as part of a food tour and really enjoyed the experience. The Alentejo-style gazpacho was fresh and refreshing, especially on a warm day, and the alheira croquette was a tasty way to try a traditional Portuguese specialty. The Douro Valley sparkling wine paired nicely with the food and rounded everything out. A nice spot to sample authentic Portuguese flavours, and we’re glad it was included on our tour.
Visited this lovely place on a food tour and loved the food and vibe so much I had to return the next day for a late lunch. The octopus was out of this world! The service was also perfectly spaced out and attentive. Will be returning and recommending.
A delicious spot to stop for dinner near the sights and famous viewpoint. Their mains looked fantastic but the vegetable soup and bread rolls were tasty, filling, and cheap. The service was friendly and quick. There was only indoor seating, but it was comfortable and well decorated.
My friend recommended this restaurant to me, and the food is super yummy! The staff seemed a bit surprised by how much we ordered; they were probably wondering how two girls could eat so much. But we really did finish it all 🤣 because it was just so delicious. We'll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. A truly recommended restaurant!
My friend and I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation because we wanted to try something more local, especially seafood dishes. We ordered the cataplana for two, which comes with fresh seafood and vegetables. The dish was absolutely delicious and the portion size was just right. Side dishes need to be ordered separately. Even though it was only February, the restaurant was already quite busy, so I would recommend making a reservation in advance, especially during the peak season. The atmosphere is ok and feels very local, although the prices are a bit on the higher side in my opinion.
