Cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and good food. To start, we ordered the house couvert, which included bread, high-quality olive oil, and a chicken spread. For the main course, we had the ossobuco, which was very flavorful, although the bone marrow was missing; the risotto was very good. The grilled chicken supreme was slightly undercooked near the bone and a bit bland, but the vegetables were perfectly cooked. For dessert, we had a chocolate fondant served with crème anglaise and almonds.
Don Alfonso in Cascais was our first meal in Portugal and it set the bar very high. The service was incredible, the presentation was beautiful, and the food itself was fresh, perfectly prepared, and genuinely delicious. We’ve been eating around the world lately and this meal was simply perfect — balanced, vibrant, and so fresh. We’ll be back soon.
My wife and I ordered capriccio, sardines, octopus, and lasagna for dinner. The service, vibe, and food were astounding. I highly recommend coming here for a special occasion.
