⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Gastronomic Journey in Lisbon! As someone who has traveled all around the world and experienced a vast array of global cuisines, I can confidently say that my girlfriend and I were transported to another world when we dined at By Chef Authentic Cuisine in Lisbon. Everything about this place is incredible the presentation of the dishes, the beautifully curated menu, and the vibrant atmosphere. But what truly sets this hidden gem apart is the beautiful combination of hospitality and culture brought to life by the host, William, who is from Goiás, Brazil, and his wonderful wife from Minas Gerais. Their warmth makes you feel right at home. The food itself is out of this world. If you love cod fish (bacalhau), I highly recommend ordering the “by the chef” signature plate it is absolutely spectacular. My girlfriend ordered the Octopus, which is one of her all-time favorite dishes, and she was completely delighted by how perfectly it was prepared. Pro-Tip for future guests: Be sure to ask William for his expert wine recommendations to pair with your food. Also, don't miss out on asking him about the meaning behind the beautiful frames hanging inside the restaurant—it adds such a special touch to the entire experience. If you haven’t been here yet, do yourself a favor and go. You will absolutely love it!
I was greeted with a warm smile from the staff and chef. Chef William helped me go through the menu and gave suggestions which was well appreciated 🫶🏾 great food overall 💯
The service here makes you feel like you are family, everyone is friendly and welcoming. 5 courses for 49€, plus espresso for an additional 1€. I could not recommend this experience more. Every course and pairing was amazing. It is rare that I find a tasting menu that I am excited to come back to across the USA and Europe, however, I cannot wait to comeback and have another meal and experience here. I know very little Portuguese and the staff were very accommodating with my broken phrases. The food is amazing, the wine is excellent, and the whole experience is nostalgic. Cannot wait to come back. Not pictured are my first course of two croquettes with white wine and my last course of an espresso shot w chocolate ball. This was the tasting experience- HIGHLY RECOMMEND
We went to try the By Chef Experience, which is a tasting menu with multiple dishes offered in smaller quantities, and it was really good. The service was excellent, and the chef was very friendly and welcoming, so we definitely recommend going because the food is great.
