Radha made us feel instantly welcome, and her hospitality was wonderful! The meal was delicious. The piri-piri chicken in spicy sauce was crispy and juicy and the rice was perfect. The makoufe was unlike anything I’ve tasted and I will be dreaming of it.
A warm, colorful atmosphere where you can taste the flavors of Africa. Perfect for sharing a convivial moment with friends and family. A big thank you to Radha, who served us with a smile and plenty of good cheer.
I decided to eat here after reading many good reviews online and they were also mentioned in some magazines or by food influencers. So my expectations were very high. The waitress was very nice and accommodated our needs. She did a good job. But what I found strange was that we had to wait quite a long time to get our food after ordering, about 45 minutes. The sky was still bright and when the food came, it was already dark. We didn’t have any plans to eat dinner sitting outside in cold. And as you can see in the photo, I only got a small amount of shrimp and about 3–4 pieces of banana. And it didn’t taste fresh. After eating at other restaurants in Lisbon, I can now say: it’s not worth the wait or the money for such a small portion. The beef dish was so good, we got almost 1 kg, the taste was excellent and we also had a lot of rice. I understand, maybe this restaurant is a legend, but I hope there will be some improvements. Because this restaurant has potential and is already quite famous.
If you want the food the locals eat, come to Cantinho do Aziz! We came across it with a food tour and immediately returned for more. Radha was wonderful and the food was divine. Samosas, goat, lamb, and seafood! We'll be returning on our next trip, for sure!
