We went on our last night of a 2 week stay in Portugal. This was by far the best meal of the whole trip. The building is also a showstopper. Would definitely visit again.
We had a fantastic dinner experience with Chef Mateus and his team, which includes his brother Marco. They came to our airbnb to cook dinner, which was a much more relaxing and special way to experience Portuguese cuisine while traveling with a 4 year old and 1 year old. Chef and team were very accommodating of the little ones and understanding of our distraction throughout the meal. The food was delicious!! So many great and interesting flavors. Being able to eat on our outdoor patio was a huge plus that paired well with the ambiance that Chef and team created for us. Highly recommend booking this experience! Thank you Mateus and Marco!
Fantastic dinner experience by Chef Mateus his brother and mother. Great food with 5 courses, and a great atmosphere in the hostel where the dinner took place. Mateus presents each course with interesting background information. definitely a clear recommendation to try it.
Our Portuguese dinner experience with Chef Mateus was the highlight of our trip. It was a beautiful introduction to the local food and culture, with the Chef explaining the origin of each of the 5 courses. Chef Mateus will also customize your meal for your dietary needs. Sharing the meal with guests from Germany and different cities in the US was an added pleasure. The meal started with a delicious cocktail and continued with red and white local wine flowing freely. My travel buddies and I will recommend this experience to everyone we know!
