Reviews
It’s a nice enough dining room but it was practically deserted and I felt pretty self conscious there. The steak cuts were good, though my fillet was inexplicably carved, which cooled it down too quickly. The wine list won’t win any awards, you have to get a long way down to get an 80 pointer. Overall, probably better options to be had.
Expensive and somewhat touristy but they got good quality steaks. RIB Beef & Wine offers dinning options for all preferences: from indoor to outdoor tables, counter sitting and bar areas even to private dinning rooms in a classy, stylished, tapestry floored restaurant. A nice place for more intimate dinners, RIB has a relaxing, discreet ambience that is very suitful for personal meetings but also business lunches/dinners. A modern steak house with a nice range of steaks and some good prime cuts, RIB offers options to mostly every budget. Their Ribeye Wagyu is buttery soft, tasty but also thin and you might find it to be gone from your plate too fast considering the 135€ price tag. Their Pornstar Martini does standout with it's passionfruit taste and the sparkling wine glass on the side. Their cookie was underwhelming as it had a pasty texture and was glued to the plate. The staff was nice and professional but also uncharismatic and seemed to be operating on "auto-pilot" mode. In the end, RIB was expensive (+150€ for 1 pax) but i left satisfied with the food, the service and the restaurant. There are better alternatives at this price range but it's a place worth visiting. Solid 4 stars.
We wanted a special restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. While we are not big meat eaters, this pkace looked well suited for a special birthday meal so we decided to give it a go. The restaurant was located adjacent to our hotel (Oousada de Lisboa) and in a wonderful part of town. The atmosphere was chic, with beautiful boveda (Catalan vault) celings. We were seated immediately and our sever took our drink order and shortly after that he took our appetizer order. My wife had a mango mule mocktail which she loved. I ordered a Somersby Cider, which I have really come to appreciate since landing in Lisbon. For appetizers we ordered the olive pate which was accompanied by warm bread, garlic infused olive oil, and a wonderful olive oil for dipping. My wife ordered the Caesar's Salad which she really enjoyed. It was a little too much for her so I had a small portion of it and we both thought it was excellent. I ordered the cream of leek soup which was hearty but perhaps a little bland. Overall our appetizers wete excellent. For our main course we decided to share the chateaubriand (400 g.). It was an incredible piece of meat, cooked perfectly. We had read on some of the reviews that some diners didn't like the fact that some of the meats weren't seasoned, but this meat was best left alone. Just a light sprinkling of sea salt after cooking was just enough to enhance this dish. The meat was juicy, tender, and cooked exactly as we ordered it (medium rare). It was perfection. I highly recommend RIB, especially for a special occasion.
Must-save spot for a special dinner in Lisbon. Right in the heart of the city near Praça do Comércio, this place feels like a hidden wine cellar. Cozy, calm and perfect for a long evening. We started with a Bairão-based aperitif that I’m honestly still thinking about, then shared carpaccio and croquettes to begin. The meat was cooked perfectly, the red wine recommendation was spot on, and every dish felt thoughtful without being overcomplicated. Service was warm, attentive and made the whole night feel really special. And one tip: don’t skip the crunchy dessert. So, so good. If you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a birthday spot or just a high-quality food and wine experience in Lisbon, this one is definitely worth booking.
We had a wonderful experience at this steak restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked meat, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service deserves a solid 5+. The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. The price–quality ratio is excellent, especially considering the quality of the dishes and the overall atmosphere. We were also impressed by the wine selection — a truly great variety that pairs perfectly with the menu. My husband and I left completely satisfied and will definitely return.
