At Taverna das Marias, in the historic neighborhood of Alfama, Christmas is celebrated around the table: with Portuguese food, local wines, good conversation and the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional Lisbon taverna.

This is a festive Portuguese tasting experience, created for travelers who want to enjoy local food and wine in an authentic neighborhood setting rather than a formal restaurant environment.

The experience takes place in our intimate taverna and follows a curated tasting menu featuring traditional Portuguese ingredients, recipes and flavors.

Your evening begins with a selection of traditional Portuguese snacks to share:

• Second seating: 9:00–11:15pm

  A later festive dinner for guests who prefer to enjoy their Christmas evening at a relaxed pace.
