Step into Lisbon's golden age of discovery and its living craft tradition. Your experience begins with a pickup at Parque Eduardo VII, where a professional driver welcomes you into a comfortable private vehicle. As you make your way to Belém, your driver — well versed in Portuguese history and art history — shares stories about the neighborhood you're about to explore, setting the scene for what's ahead. Once in Belém, you'll spend an hour exploring, wandering past the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower, and the district's other landmark monuments. This isn't a rushed checklist tour: take your time, stop for a pastel de nata, and look closely at the carved stonework, tilework, and architectural details that make Belém one of Lisbon's most artistically rich neighborhoods. Photograph whatever catches your eye — these details will become the inspiration for the piece of jewelry you create next. Your driver will be there waiting and taking you to each different monument. From there, your driver will take you to the Ignis Jewellery atelier, inside the Boutique da Arte e Cultura in Benfica, where the walking tour turns into a hands-on making experience. Your favorite photos from Belém are printed on the spot, so you have them in hand as a visual reference while you work. Working with silver clay — a pliable material that transforms into genuine .999 fine silver when fired — you'll design and shape your own piece, guided by an experienced jeweler, using your printed photos as direct inspiration for the details you translate into silver.
