Description
Discover Lisbon through its distinctive neighborhoods. First, walk through Alfama’s narrow streets and alleyways. Then, visit the Castle with its expansive view of the city.
Visit the old cathedral and explore the city center - this entire area had to be reshaped after the earthquake of 1755 nearly destroyed the city.
Next, arrive at Jeronimo’s Monastery. Sample the delicious Portuguese pastry created here by Catholic monks - pastel de nata - an egg tart.
Admire the Monument to the Discoveries and the Belem Tower at the banks of the Tagus River.
Then, end the day by exploring the modern part of the city at Parque das Nações - the site of the 1998 world exposition.
