Description
The Oceanarium is much more than an aquarium; it is a science and education center dedicated to ocean conservation. The main building, surrounded by water, is divided into different areas that represent marine habitats from various parts of the world, such as the North Atlantic, the Southern Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the Pacific Ocean.
The highlight is the central tank, with more than 5 million liters of saltwater, where sharks, rays, tuna, and many other species swim. Around this tank, there are themed areas that simulate coastal ecosystems, with penguins, sea otters, corals, anemones, and tropical fish.
The Lisbon Oceanarium's mission is to promote ocean conservation through environmental education, scientific research, and public awareness.
It is a unique space that combines education, science, and entertainment. Visiting this place is like embarking on a real journey through the planet's oceans, sparking curiosity and a sense of responsibility to take care of our blue world.
Embark on this contemplative journey to discover 8,000 sea creatures from 500 different species.
Without a doubt, an unforgettable experience for children, young people, and adults.
Climb aboard a cruise for a serene and unforgettable tour, where Lisbon shows its unique beauty from the water, leaving a special memory with every moment.
