Description

Pickup from your hotel or apartment in Lisbon begins at 09:00. Enjoy a scenic 40-minute drive through the Setúbal region’s rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and Mediterranean landscapes. Your professional private driver-guide will share insights into local history, culture, and traditions throughout the journey.

Arrive at the Bacalhôa Estate, home to olive trees aged 2,000–3,000 years, and explore its 12th-century manor housing exclusive collections of paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and decorative objects reflecting the estate’s heritage. (Please note this part of the tour is closed on Sundays.)

Tour the wine cellar to learn about Bacalhôa’s wine-making process, including grape selection, fermentation, barrel aging, and blending. Visit the family’s private residence with additional art collections and enjoy the manicured gardens, swimming pool, and panoramic vineyard views.

Return to the main estate for a guided tasting of Bacalhôa’s signature wines, including Moscatel de Setúbal and selected red and white varieties, with detailed explanations of their aromas, textures, and flavors.

Continue to a traditional Portuguese tile factory to observe the handmade tile creation process. Optionally, you can hand-paint your own tile as a personalized souvenir; this requires advance booking and an additional fee payable onsite.
