From the quarters of Graça and Alfama, through Mouraria up to the São Jorge Castle, you may be lucky enough to come across a sardine barbecue on the streets. Hop out into Alfama, take a walk through this music quarter, and listen to its cries. You will be able to see Roman remains, medieval houses that survived the 1755 earthquake, the magnificent Lisbon Cathedral, squares livened up by outdoor cafés, and nooks and alleys reminiscent of Arab cities – Lisbon’s multicultural history has also left its mark here.  In addition, enjoy incredible views of the city from the many natural windows that it offers.
