Such an absolutely incredible experience, the most beautiful and professional staff. We had the 9 course “moments” and the sommelier suggested bottles for the table. The staff and chef Marlene were so joyful and friendly, the perfect amount of food and an absolute amazing vibe. Our fan favourite was the
The food, the wine pairing and service was fantastic. You know you've had a great dinner when you can recall every dish you've eaten and have discussions on what was the most favourite dishes. The crab, lobster and lamb dishes were absolute standouts. But absolutely enjoyed the shrimp, zucchini flower amongst the others as well. Really enjoyed the wine pairing, nice to be able to enjoy number of Portuguese wines that went super with the food. We've enjoyed Michelin restaurants across Europe. Loved being so close to the team in preparation and interaction along the dinner.
My partner and I had an absolutely fabulous dining experience this evening at Marlene. The staff were so attentive, and clearly loved what they do, it showed on the dishes, the service, and how they treated us as guests. We both did the 12 moments and it was worth every cent, interesting dishes which combined texture, flavour and flair in a way that was both quintessentially Portuguese with the fine dining twist. It's really tough for me to choose a favourite dish - they really all were excellent. I accompanied my meal with a wine flight and every wine chosen matched so well with the flavours of the dishes. My partner had the low alcohol pairing and her matched drinks went well with their dishes (at times I was sampling her drinks because they were so good). As a final note, my partner has an allergy to chili, and every dish incorporating this was altered in a way which preserved the flavour while keeping the meal safe for her, which is always a mark of a fantastic restaurant which cares for its guests. This is an absolute must visit, before they get their second (or third) star. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and recommend that you come here as part of any good stay in Lisbon. Tristan and Kendra!
A very fine and experimented cooking, French and Portiguese style, caring and easy service team, all happening around the central kitchen. Worth among the many Michelin in Lisboa. You wont go there without a purpose: close to Alfama and downtown Baixa, but on cruise boats docks side ... inside the room, the atmosphere makes you forget the surroundings!
Marlene is a fantastic restaurant with good service and a focus on the highest quality dishes. Marlene came to personally check in on all the guests herself as well. The menu was well put together, there’s a large focus on Portuguese ingredients and heritage. Sitting at the counter around the kitchen is a nice change of pace for a Michelin starred restaurant, seeing the chefs plate the dishes kept us entertained all nights. We had a fantastic night and can definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fine dining.
