Salta was, without question, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The night before, I ate at a Michelin starred restaurant, and I can honestly say this meal was even more memorable. What makes Salta so special isn’t just the incredible food, it’s the entire experience. The chef and owner personally visits every table, serving dishes himself, explaining the inspiration behind them, the history, and the flavors. His passion is genuine, and you can feel how much thought goes into every plate. The cocktails deserve their own recognition. These aren’t your typical drinks; each one is thoughtfully crafted with unique ingredients and layers of flavor that make them an experience on their own. As for the food, every single dish was outstanding. Nothing felt ordinary. A tuna tartare is usually just a tuna tartare, but Salta’s version was unlike anything I’ve ever had. It was, without a doubt, the most unique and best tuna tartare I’ve ever eaten, and it’s a dish I’ll remember for years. Every course was creative, playful, and inspired by different parts of the world while still feeling perfectly balanced. This wasn’t a meal where you simply say, “That was good,” and forget about it a week later. It created memories. Several of the dishes left a lasting impression, and I know I’ll be thinking about them for a long time. If you’re looking for a truly memorable dining experience, one where the food, cocktails, hospitality, and storytelling all come together, Salta is a restaurant that absolutely deserves a visit.
A pleasant spot if you’re looking for a modern dining experience with well-prepared dishes and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant has a stylish interior and a calm evening vibe that works well for a casual dinner. The food is solid and clearly made with good ingredients. The tuna crudo was fresh and nicely presented, and the fish of the day was well cooked with a flavorful sauce. The croquettes were also a nice start to the meal. Overall, the kitchen delivers good quality dishes with thoughtful plating. That said, nothing particularly stood out as memorable. The flavors were good but not especially surprising, and the atmosphere and service were perfectly fine but fairly standard for this type of restaurant. Overall, Salta is a reliable place for a nice dinner — good food, pleasant setting, and a comfortable experience, even if it doesn’t quite reach the “wow” level.
Great experience overall, and well worth the visit. I especially liked the option of tasting menus, one of which was vegetarian (actually vegan). The atmosphere was lovely, especially upstairs, and the service super friendly. All of that not withstanding, pacing of dishes (from the tasting menu) was uneven, and a few dishes were overly salty, with salt masking many of the other/underlying flavors. Definitly worth a visit!
Had a VERY good New Year’s Eve meal here. Booked in advance, the customer service helping arrange the booking was excellent. When we arrived and fully enjoyed the special menu for NYE. Was some of the best food I had in Lisbon. The seafood taco was probably the best I ever had. The steak was also perfectly cooked. We had a small issue with the initial wine pick and the team was super flexible and allowed us to switch to wine by the glass. The place is modern and classy, and not too expensive. Great for romantic dinners, dates, etc. But also a friend group or older family. Not sure kids would fully appreciate it.
This place is just a hidden gem in plain sight in beautiful Lisbon. Cozy, harm and the best dining experience u can have in this world. The bluefin tuna is just something that everyone in the world should experience. The crude, the wagyu gunkan don’t come too far second to that. For my disbelief even the vegan mushroom dumpling was as good as everything else. I’m going back as many times as can. I truly encourage you to indulge into this fine dining amazing experience. Thank me later Cheers to all the staff that was super friendly and least but not last, try the signature drinks, they are spectacular. Congrats Chef Tomaz and crew, you guys rock! Probably the best food i have ever eaten here in Portugal.
