The steak was really good! We originally went for the buffet, but ended up ordering à la carte because the buffet selection didn’t have as many meat options as we expected. We were told the buffet included grilled chicken, sausages, and maminha. Usually at Brazilian steakhouses, you expect a wider variety like picanha, maminha, and other cuts, so that was a bit disappointing. Still, overall the food was tasty and we enjoyed the meal. I’m giving 4 stars mainly because of one experience with a waiter that didn’t sit right with me. I went with my mom, and when we arrived, he saw us from upstairs but didn’t come down, so I had to call him and let him know I had a reservation. Instead of simply confirming my booking with my name, he replied, “Ahh, the Chinese name, right?” which felt unnecessary and a bit rude to me. The other staff were nice, and aside from that interaction, the experience was good overall. The food definitely made up for it, and I’d still recommend the place for the quality of the steak.
What a fantastic steakhouse! We went to Sherriff in Areeiro last night for our wedding anniversary and they exceeded my expectations at every turn. Service was impeccable, staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the food perfectly prepared and delicious. They have an all-you-can-eat buffet of Brazilian foods, but we opted for the a la carte steak menu. We started with an appetizer of pastéis de vento (4 mini 'wind pastries', their take on a Brazilian street food) which were crisp and airy, seasoned just right: 2 meat-filled pastries and 2 with cheese and guava. Yum! We selected the Tomahawk steak for two (which came with rice, black beans, french fries, salad and grilled pineapple) and a bottle of red wine. The steak was phenomenal; tender, juicy with very little waste. They slice it up tableside. After dinner, we shared the Western Explosion dessert: apple cooked in a port wine reduction, served in a crunchy mini pie shell topped with ice cream and a warm cream sauce. Wow. Finished things off with a shot of cachaça and coffee. No rushing you out. Relax and enjoy your time there. Oh, we'll be back... And we'll bring friends. I think it would be great for groups. What a fun night!
