The Chicago Room Steakhouse was exactly what I was hoping for from a proper steakhouse in Lisbon. From the food to the atmosphere and service, everything felt thoughtfully done, and the quality of the steak itself was excellent. I started with the Chicago Bread, their grilled artisanal bread, together with the three-butter selection. The bread was beautifully grilled, crisp and toasted on the outside while remaining soft inside and the garlic-herb butter, maple butter, and bourbon-bacon butter made an excellent pairing. The bourbon-bacon butter in particular had that wonderful savoury, slightly smoky richness, while the maple brought a touch of sweetness that was truly delightful. It is absolutely worth ordering both together. The highlight, though, was the Argentinian Black Angus picanha. I ordered it medium and it came out essentially perfect: a beautiful sear on the exterior, wonderfully juicy inside, and an even warm pink centre. The flavour of the beef came through clearly rather than being buried under excessive seasoning. The picanha had that rich, distinctive beefiness and tenderness you want from the cut, and the fat added plenty of flavour without making it feel overly heavy. For those that have never really had picanha or simply want to try something special I highly recommend you try it here. The restaurant currently lists this as a 250 g Argentinian Black Angus picanha, and it absolutely lived up to the description, though they have an Australian wagyu variant of picanha as well. I also loved the presentation with four different salts served around the steak. It is a small detail, but a very good one: you can taste the steak on its own and then experiment with different seasoning profiles if you like. However the flavour of the beef speaks for itself and I really enjoyed it. The restaurant itself has a lovely steakhouse atmosphere, polished and upscale without feeling stiff and the service matched it. The servers were attentive, friendly and welcoming, and helped make the meal feel like an occasion rather than simply dinner. Special thanks to Hallyson who was an excellent server and made the experience truly wonderful. Overall, this was really excellent food and a genuinely excellent steakhouse experience. If what you want is a beautifully cooked piece of beef, good accompaniments, thoughtful presentation, a comfortable atmosphere and genuinely good service, The Chicago Room delivers. The picanha alone would bring me back, but the grilled Chicago Bread with the butter trio is something I would absolutely order again as well and pairs beautifully with the steak and fries. An easy 5 stars and highly recommended for anyone looking for a proper steakhouse in Lisbon. Special thanks again to my server Hallyson.

Came out of a train and found this lovely place. We were just a bit underdress;) We wanted to eat a steak really bad and it was delicious. Our kids enjoyed an awesome mac n cheese and burger. What really stood out for us is how amazing the service was. They made a mistake on how we wanted our meat in the burger they corrected it and offered drinks and desert on the house. A true 5 stars experience.
Apart from the fact that we had a magnificent stay in the attached hotel, the steak here was incomparable! We both enjoyed the flat iron, with the garlic butter sauce, and a bottle of red wine. It was cooked exactly to our liking, and we were provided with a selection of complimentary salts which were an amazing pairing. Our waiters were Alison and Leo, both of whom provided exceptional service. Very friendly, chatty and polite. My only regret, is that we have only eaten here once on our trip. I would recommend this without a doubt to any visitors to Lisbon.
A great new restaurant with high-quality food and a knowledgeable team. The service is friendly, professional, and attentive, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. Definitely worth a visit!
