We stumbled across this place online looking for paella and wow was it incredible. The service is unmatched, so attentive and friendly and gave us a perfect wine recommendation to match the food. I was even given a blanket as it was a chilly evening which was a lovely touch. Overall this was an incredible meal and worth the money 100%!
We visited the Volta dos Sabores twice. Food was excellent, price totally fine, the service outstanding. Friendly, funny, lovely. We had Tuna Steak, Octopus, the highly recommendable mushroom and bacon starter. I never had such a smooth grilled Tuna ever... Highly recommendable, we would always return to this place.
I just walked in this restaurant cause most of others are closed. And I definitely did not expect the food here to be this goooooood!!! They have Arroz Marisco for solo guest as well and it tastes amazing and authentic! And I think the quantity was also like very huge and was really filled with yummy seafood. The flaming sausage is like a specialty here and also worth trying. Usually u could only find such dish in those luxurious restaurants lol. Last but not least, I would underscore the service here, which is lovely and welcoming!!! The owner was so sympathetic and friendly. She explained the menu to me patiently and detailedly, and other staffs here were also very polite! For once a second I thought I was eating at home with my family!! In short, I’ll recommend this restaurant for everyone.
My wife and I lucked into a wonderful dinner this evening. We were looking for a restaurant that served local Portuguese dishes and felt like someplace that the locals would eat. Volta dos Sabores hit the mark. We started with the salada de polvo (Octopus salad). Nice portion for two, good flavor, and well prepared (not chewy). For the main meal, my wife ordered the Dourada Grelhada (grilled Sea Bream) and I had one of the local dishes, Bacalhau com Natas (Cod with cream and cheese). Both dishes were delicious. The Dourada (served whole) easily came off the bone, and was moist and flaky. The Bacalhau was served like a small casserole. It was crispy and brown on top, and moist in the middle. Our server, Barssha, was terrific. She was very friendly and made us feel like family. Definitely no attempt to rush us through the evening. I would definitely recommend this for a nice casual evening out with your better half or with some friends.
Rita was amazing, we kind of settled for inside seating, is like she could read our minds, she quickly noticed that we wanted to seat outside and she got us the perfect table. Both the service and food were amazing.
