Description
We will meet at the designated time in Praça Marquês de Pombal and depart for Fátima, the Portuguese town known throughout the world for Our Lady's apparitions to the three shepherd children. Our first stop will be the Shrine of Fátima, one of the most important holy places in Christianity visited by as many as five million faithful each year. We will get to know the Chapel of the Apparitions and the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, where the daily liturgical ceremony takes place, as well as the home of the shepherd children Jacinta and Francisco Marto. Continuing on we will go to Nazaré, a fishing village famous worldwide for its giant waves, which McNamara was able to ride, achieving a world record. In this location you will have free time to have lunch on the beach and stroll through its charming narrow streets. Finally, we will reach the beautiful medieval village of Óbidos, a place of miracles and ancient legends. We will walk the streets of one of the most romantic locations in Portugal, located near the Roman city of Eburobrittium. After visiting Òbidos we will return to Lisbon, surrounded by hilly landscapes dominated by windmills.Includes
