Start by travelling over 175 million years back in time at the Pedreira do Galinha dinosaur site. Just outside Lisbon, this limestone platform in the Mira Aire mountains preserves fossilised footprints from the Jurassic period. The highlight? A stunning sauropod trackway that stretches across the quarry, a silent witness to the creatures that once dominated this land. This site continues to surprise researchers, with some of the largest footprints in Europe discovered here.
