Service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic. Loved all the dishes we ordered. We had shrimp with rice paper as a starter, scorpion fish and octopus with pasta as entires. The octopus was extremely tender, so good. Finished the meal with a delicious cheesecake. Our server was Nicholas and he was great, making sure we are taken care of.
Always a 5-star experience! Capítulo is such an amazing place, and it’s a spot I always love returning to. The food is incredibly yummy and the service is always top-notch 5-stars. You really can’t go wrong here!
The atmosphere and ambience was lovely. Drinks service was unbelievably slow, we waited 20mins for a glass of wine! The waiter in the restaurant was friendly and attentive to start with. The starters were amazing - perfect prawns with lots of flavour and amazing combinations of flavour for the sea bream and strawberries but the main courses were not, I ordered the scorpion fish, the fish was flavourful and well cooked but the rice was inedible! Under cooked yet still burnt! I sent the dish back and decided not to have it re made. The duck rice was nice, but very rich and very heavily smoked, it was tasty but wouldn’t rush back for it. Then service was slow we waited ages for the bill regardless of reminding the staff we had plans that we would be late for. The food didn’t match the price, so wouldn’t rush back
A Masterpiece in a Historic Setting – Truly Flawless 🥂 If you are looking for a dining experience in Lisbon that balances history, elegance, and incredible flavor, Capítulo is the place. For around 35€ per person, we had a dinner that felt far more expensive. The attention to detail is evident from the first bite. We started with: - The Bread Service: Served with a rich pâté and flavored butter in beautiful stone bowls. - Duck Croquettes: Served on 'newspaper' print with a honey and orange dip—perfectly crispy and savory. - Sautéed Mushrooms: Bathed in a luscious white truffle cream sauce that was deeply flavored and earthy. - For the mains, the Slow-cooked Pork Belly was a standout—perfectly tender, served with vibrant bok choy and a fun, creative touch of spicy popcorn for texture. The Grilled Squid was also incredibly fresh, paired beautifully with citrus and greens. The desserts are a total temptation! The Crème Brûlée Cheesecake with sour cherry (ginja) sorbet is a genius combination of creamy and tart. The Almond 'Travesseiro' in filo pastry with cinnamon ice cream was the perfect crispy, sweet ending. The dining room itself is stunning—located in a restored convent with high ceilings and a warm, sophisticated vibe. The staff are genuinely friendly and make the evening feel special. A must-visit in Lisbon!
The restaurant is beautiful, the staff was very kind and the food was extraordinary. I don't a lot to say, asside of how amazing our experience was. As a restauranteurs ourselves (me and my partner), we were both amazed about the delicacy on every detail. Very much recomended for anyone who eants to enjoy a wonderful lunch/dinner.
