We love Portuguese food, but wanted to try something a bit different. This has to be one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten at. The flavors, presentation, and quality are unbeatable for the price. The wine selection and prices were also fantastic. I cannot believe people are not lining up to eat here. An absolute must when in Lisbon!

Fabulous evening at Downunder by Justin Jennings. Justin needs to put his prices up for food of this quality, great value, get here while you can. Lovely front of house team and chef did the rounds speaking to every table. Really great food, highly recommend 👍

Expectations were high, especially after reading all those 5 star reviews. Let's start with the service which was very friendly and overall efficient. We went for the 6 course menu and - due to allergy- there was no problem for a small adaptation. That's great. The starter (prawn) was found to be very good and fresh. The Ceviche was fine but maybe lacked some acidy to be called a Ceviche. The fish (Corvina) was very nice although we were not impressed by the heaviness of the pea puree and potatoo. But then came the Belly pork: this was absolutely a top dish and our favourite of the menu. Perfect cooking with perfect dressing. Outstanding. The latter can unfortunately not be said of the overcooked duck. The Chef clearly could have done better on this one as our duck was dry and lacked the spicy punch. Luckily the desert was bringing us back into the right mood. Overall, the 60 EUR menu is a good and fair choice. Last but not least, the wine list is not super extensive but will allow to make a good choice for a reasonable price. The Australian Devil's elbow was a nice surprise. After some hindsight we should have gone for the à la carte to try the crocodile or kangaroo or ... absolutely a top dish : the pork belly. I'll repeat what I always say : this is my personal review and just take it for what it's worth. Staff at Downunder are doing a great job with lot's of passion so don't let a review put you off (or on). Go and find out for yourself !

The wait staff is so attentive and respectful the food knocks it out of the park with a balance of familiarity & innovation. Everything was perfect! If you're thinking about dessert, the sticky date pudding was mind-blowing! Highly recommend

We recently moved to the neighborhood and wanted to explore nearby spots—lucky for us, we found this gem! From the moment we met Kevin, everything was perfectly prepared and presented. Kevin was an outstanding waiter—I’ll request him next time. Having kangaroo on the menu brought back wonderful memories from our recent trip to Australia and New Zealand. Chef Justin is doing it right! Delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! Cheer, J & S
